A lacquer four-case inro
By Choko/Nagataka, late 17th/early 18th century
Decorated in gold and iro-e takamakie and kirikane, one side with a woman pausing by the broken grille of a circular window of a thatched-roofed dwelling, staring at a large spider's web shown on the reverse, all above a bamboo fence, the interior of nashiji; signed Choko/Nagataka. 6.8cm (2 5/8in) high.
