Both panels decorated in high relief with different species of birds perched on flowering branches, variously inlaid in stained ivory, mother-of-pearl and bone, within a lacquered-wood frame, the reverse painted in gold and slight coloured hiramakie with an eagle perched on a cherry tree, signed with seal Kurihara. 173cm x 157cm (68 1/8in x 61¾in).
