Comprising one figure of Jurojin, typically depicted with a crane by his side, the God of Longevity stands with a staff in one hand and a scroll in the other, a gourd tied to his waist, his robes delicately incised with floral and cloud motifs, signed in a rectangular lacquer reserve Munemasa, 17.8cm (7in) high; the second a group of numerous toads of various sizes clambering over each other atop a lotus leaf, a menacing snake weaves its way between them and under a lotus seed pod, unsigned, 14.3cm (5 5/8in) long.
