The simple black-lacquered three-plate zunari kabuto with an added shaped iron plate at the back in the style called ichi-no-tani, the front of the plate gilded, the back black; on the front a gilt-metal maedate of three aoi leaves on their stems; a five-lame black-lacquered Hineno itamono jikoro laced with blue sugake odoshi, small fukigaeshi with a gold lacquered fan mon; with a wood helmet stand.     Ichi-no-tani is a steep cliff in Settsu Province near Hyogo Prefecture down which Minamoto Yoshitsune charged the rear of the Taira forces to defeat them in 1184.
