A blue-laced tachi do tosei gusoku armour
The armour, late Edo Period, 19th century, the helmet, mid Edo Period, late 17th century
The thirty-two-plate za boshi kabuto in russet iron, a five-stage mixed-metal tehen kanaono and the suji and edge of the tosei mabisashi covered with gilt fukurin, mounted on the mabisashi is a small kuwagata dai and kuwagata above which is a demon maedate, a five-lame Hineno jikoro of iron kiritsuke kozane, the menpo russet lacquered with the moustache indicated as silver lacquer and silvered teeth, four lame yodarekake, ko-sode of leather kiritsuke kozane and oda gote, a ni mai tachi do in iron kiritsuke kozane with the matching kusazuri in leather, on the back a gattari and machi uke, ikada haidate and shino suneate, black-lacquered overall and laced in dark blue kebiki odoshi; contained in an armour box with a stand.
