Two shinto tanto
18th/19th century
The first of unokubi-zukuri form, midare-ba of nie and nioi with kinsuji, itame-hada, the ubu-nakago with one mekugi-ana, unsigned, 20.3cm (8in); in shirazaya; the second of hira-zukuri form, gunome-ha of nioi, indistinct hamon, the ubu-nakago with three mekugi-ana, signed Kanenori, 31cm (12⅛in); in black lacquered saya with associated shakudo and brass fittings, with copper menuki of shishi; with brocade bag.
