The first two-case inro of dark horn, inlaid in wood and raden with two large rats, one gnawing at a fan, unsigned, 7.6cm (3in); with a dark horn ojime of a rat; and wood netsuke of two rats clambering over Daikoku's sack; the second of four cases, black lacquer, with a lantern hanging from a pine branch by a torii in gold and silver takamakie, unsigned, 8.2cm (3¼in), with an ivory ojime, decorated in Shibayama style; and a painted wood netsuke of an Uji tea picker; the third three-case inro of gold lacquer, with Korean horsemen in gold takamakie, unsigned, 7.6cm (3in); with a plain wood manju netsuke, polished to accentuate the grain; the first tonkotsu of coconut shell, carved in relief with two literati in a garden, 7cm (2¾in); with a kiseruzutsu of brown ishime lacquer with stag-antler mounts, lacquered and inlaid with a sceptre and ink-cake, signed Fushi; the second tonkotsu of reishi fungus, inlaid with a bat flying beneath an ivory crescent moon, three toads, a slug and reishi in ebony, and pale wood, signed Masatomo saku, 7.6cm (3in); with a wood netsuke of a crouched toad; the third of wood, inlaid with three fish, unsigned, 8.3cm (3¼in) wide; with a kiseruzutsu in the form of a fish, 20.3cm (8in); and two gilt-metal finger plectrums with pierced formal designs, 11.5cm (4½in) long.
