The first of four cases, the roiro ground with slight mura-nashiji, lacquered in gold and silver togidashi with turbulent waves crashing onto rocks, beneath the full moon among cloud bands, the interior of red lacquer with nashiji risers, unsigned, 7.3cm (2⅞in); the second of five cases, bearing an oki-birame ground, lacquered with nadeshiko growing in a fenced garden in takamakie, the interior of nashiji, unsigned, 7.6cm (3in).
