Each bearing a roiro ground, the first of three cases, lacquered on one side with a tasselled blind (sudare), the reverse with five formalised flying chidori, in rubbed gold takamakie with inlay of pewter and aogai, unsigned, 6cm (2 3/8in); the second of four cases, similarly lacquered and inlaid with a nobleman's carriage and paulownia, unsigned, 6.3cm (2½in); the third of four cases, lacquered and inlaid with a temple building among pine trees and a bridge spanning across the water, in gold takamakie and aogai, unsigned, 6.3cm (2½in).
