Of broad form, the roiro ground embellished with usu-nashiji, inlaid in silver with a kagami (mirror) engraved with the reflection of a bijin, engraved and partly inlaid in shakudo and copper hon-zogan, the reverse with the kagamibako (mirror box) decorated with a nanten bush in gold takamakie and mura-nashiji, the interior of red lacquer, the risers of black lacquer and hirame, unsigned; with a lacquered ojime; and a kagamibuta, the turned-wood bowl bearing a silver plate engraved with a resting boar, signed Somin with kao.
7.6cm (3in) wide.
