Three black lacquer inro
18th/19th century
The first a saya inro bearing a roiro ground and lacquered with a nightingale flying over wild flowers in gold hiramakie, the saya containing a black-lacquered four-case inro, unsigned, 9.8cm (3 7/8in); the second of three cases, lacquered with a night scene of trees in mist, in usu-e-nashiji, unsigned, 7.6cm (3in); with a cast-metal ojime, signed Koku; and lacquered kagamibuta; the third of four cases, black ishime lacquer, with various insects in gold takamakie, signed Kajikawa, 8.7cm (3½in); with cast-metal ojime.
