Boldly lacquered in gold and iro-e takamakie with a continuous scene of the local hero Gyoja Busho, fighting a man-eating tiger with his bare fists, with details enhanced in gold kirikane, the tiger's eyes inlaid in glass, the interior of black lacquer, unsigned. 9cm (3½in) high.
