An ivory netsuke of a hare
By Okatori, Kyoto, early 19th century
Standing on its hind legs, its forepaws resting on a branch of loquats, the tips of which are inlaid with dark wood, the lightly-toned ivory is slightly worn and the eyes are inlaid, signed Okatori.
4.5cm (1¾in).
