An ebony netsuke of a recumbent ox
By Tanaka Minko (1735-1816), Tsu, early 19th century
Lying with its body twisted and its head slightly raised to the left, its legs drawn in for compactness, the wood is slightly worn and the eyes are inlaid with pale and dark horn, signed Juntoku Minko with kao.
