Of upright form, bearing a kinji ground, lacquered with two shishi, one climbing a rock while the other prances with its tail in the air, among peonies, in gold and slight-coloured takamakie with kirikane details, the interior of nashiji, signed Jukakusai Hisataka with kao; with a copper ojime; and an ivory netsuke of a recumbent shishi, unsigned. 8.5cm (3 3/8in).
