Of upright form, bearing a rich roiro ground, lacquered in yamimakie with the 'Seven Sages of the Bamboo Grove' (Chikurin, shichikenjin) and a boy attendant, the interior of nashiji, unsigned; with a two-part manju lacquered in similar style with stands of bamboo, unsigned. 9.8cm (3 7/8in).
