A silver lacquer three-case inro

Of wide form, bearing a rogin-nuri ground and lacquered with a continuous ukiyo-e twilight scene of a man standing by a gateway, carrying a lantern and talking to a woman who walks away, in gold and coloured togidashi, the reverse with two coolies carrying a kago, in sumi-e togidashi, walking past a willow tree by the gate, and the interior of red lacquer with matt-gold-lacquered risers, signed Jokasai; with partially-lacquered wood ojime of a rat on a basket.
