An Apulian red-figure hydria
Attributed to the Darius-Underworld group, circa 4th Century B.C.
With draped female figures, one on the left holding a patera and mirror, the other a patera and timpanum, standing outside a naiskos with a pedestal basin on a decorated box, a meander band along the base line, with foliate motifs beneath the handles, a large palmette at the back and the rim with scrolling wave pattern, 19½in (49.5cm) high
