Old Kingdom, 5th-6th Dynasty, circa 2494-2181 B.C.
With two central columns of carved raised hieroglyphs and the remnants of two adjacent columns on either side, with some black paint remaining, the central left hand column describing a figure facing right, now missing, but most likely the wife of the tomb owner, 'his wife [his] beloved', the right hand column describing a figure facing left now missing, but most likely the tomb owner, 'seal-bearer of the King of Lower Egypt, [sole] companion', 13 x 9¾in (33 x 25cm), mounted
