A Phrygian pottery bowl
Circa 5th-4th Century B.C.
With wide mouth and vertical handle, the walls tapering to a small foot, decorated in red slip with geometric motifs, a band of chevrons below the rim, zig-zag and cross-hatching over the body, both the foot and the interior of the bowl in uniform red slip, three small lugs over the rim and another at the joint of the handle, 13in (33cm) diam
