A large Mesopotamian serpentine cylinder seal
Akkadian, circa 2300-2200 B.C.
Finely carved with an enthroned figure on the right, possibly the water god Enki, with long beard and two streams of water pouring from his chest, in front of him the two-faced vizier Uzmu introducing three adorants carrying offerings, two smaller figures in the background at each side of the god, 1½in (4cm) high, mounted on a display base with impression
