A South Arabian bronze votive plaque
Circa 1st Century B.C./A.D.
Framed by a flat border with five indentations along the upper edge, the dedicatory inscription in eight lines of Qatabanian script states that Sayhum Barnatum and Dhu-nayatum dedicated a statue to the gods Hawkum and Anbay and to the gods of the house Shib'an in return for the well-being of their sons Yashrah-il, Thawb, Shikar-il, and Akhlus, 13in (32.5cm) high, 15in (38cm) wide, mounted
