Grave reliefs from Phrygia in Asia Minor dated to the 2nd-3rd century A.D. depict similar frontal draped figures. For a similar male figure, cf. G. Koch, Roman Funerary Sculpture. The J. Paul Getty Museum, Malibu, 1988, no. 38. There are also a number of reliefs with the busts of veiled women with their arm crossing their chest in the Basel Museum of Ancient Art, for example the bust on Inv. Lu 261; also the grave stele of Gaius and Aphion in the Istanbul Archaeological Museum, Inv. 5T.
