The goddess depicted standing in contrapposto, the weight on her right leg, her left relaxed, drapery swathed around her lower half, her body twisted forwards and to her right, 22in (56cm) high, mounted

    This Aphrodite is a Roman copy of a similar type of the later 4th or 3rd Century B.C. Aphrodite of Capua of which the 2nd Century B.C. Aphrodite of Melos (Venus de Milo) is a Hellenistic variant. Cf. R.R.R. Smith, Hellenistic Sculpture , London, 1991, figs. 105, 305.
