A Roman marble draped figure of a Muse
Circa 1st-2nd Century A.D.
Depicted standing with her left leg crossed over her right, leaning on a plinth to her left, wearing a chiton with a himation wrapped about her torso beneath her breasts, the ends falling from her left arm, the head, the lower part of the right arm and the lower legs and base all later 19th Century restoration, 14in (35.6cm) height of ancient torso; 22½in (57.1cm) height including restorations
