Persia, 13th Century
of bulbous form on a long flared foot, the lifting lid with tapering handle terminating in a domed element surmounted by a knop finial, engraved and decorated with silver inlay with a band of inscription in kufic on a ground of scrolling floral interlace, the lid with four rosettes
