Arabic manuscript on gauze, the Shahadah in thuluth script in gold against a grey ground in a central oval with a lobed surround containing stylised floral motifs in a North Indian style, the names of the Archangels and the Caliphs in white within ovals and heart-shaped cartouches all against a buff ground with scrolling floral motifs, slightly creased, framed
