seated on an undecorated pedestal in the cross-legged yogic posture of satvaparyankasana with the right leg placed over the left, his right hand in bhumisparsha mudra, the left resting on his lap, his monastic robe covering only the left shoulder indicated by a thickened line, a robe end falling over the same shoulder terminating at the navel in two points with scalloped edges, his ovoid face with serene expression, arched eyebrows above downcast eyes, aquiline nose, elongated earlobes, the hair arranged in rows of tight curls with a flame-like ushnisha
