Branded Arnold Dolmetsch 139 internally with maker's name and date applied in brass to nameboard; Arnold Dolmetsch MCM=XXXVII length 1140mm., X 385mm (44 7/8in) the case of exotic and tulipwood with brass hinges, the keyboard from C, of 4 1/8 octaves with ivory accidentals, ebony naturals and gilt arcaded fronts, the bridge area embellished with blue stylised fleur-de-lys tracery decoration, two strings to each note, on matching stand.
