Footnotes

  • "This was included in the 1918 exhbition as no.47, and is based on no.37, a chalk drawing titled Nightfall Zillebeke District (Causey no.200, now in the Imperial War Museum). Like the other six chalk lithographs in the 1918 exhibition, it was published in an edition of 25. In July 1918 Nash presented an impression of all the prints to the British Museum, here following the example of Nevinson."
