An impressive Italian early 19th century gilt and green-painted architectural reliquary cabinet
the domed top surmounted by a flaming urn with cherub's heads, the revolving front panel decorated to the front by a chalice issuing rays of light, surmounted by a roundel depicting Christ, the interior revealing two open compartments, the sides each flanked by a carved scroll mount with acanthus leaves and grape vines, above a small cupboard door carved with a triangle and the Eye of Providence surrounded by rays of light, above a shaped serpentine stepped base carved with ribbon-tied garlands, 100cm wide, 75cm deep, 291cm high (39" wide, 29.5" deep, 114.5" high).
