Footnotes

  • The present model is closely related to a 16th century model of a bronze pacing panther attributed to Willem van Tetrode (Dutch,1525-1580) thought to have been executed in Paduan workshops. The model was adapted in the 18th century, notably in Italy by Giovanni Zoffoli.
