decorated overall with an aventurine vernis Martin and painted rococo cartouches depicting scenes in a manner of Boucher on a golden ground, the inset Fleur de pêcher marble top within a pierced foliate gallery, above a spreading cornice and a fall front with a gilt-tooled green leather writing surface, opening to an interior fitted with a shelf and two small drawers, the frieze centred by a foliate cartouche flanked to each side by a small drawer, on cabriole legs and foliate cast sabots, the lock inscribed Vve Paul Sormani & Fils/ 10 r. Charlot Paris, the back with an old label from Emanouel/ London , 63cm wide, 33cm deep, 127cm high (24.5" wide, 12.5" deep, 50" high).
