An early 18th century Dutch silver sanctuary lamp

Formed as two compressed bulbous sections each pierced, embossed and chased with floral and leaf sprays and winged putto, the upper section having three oval cartouches respectively engraved "De Voté Consa Crata", "Maria", and "Virgini", and further engraved around the rim "Door Antonia Van Stùyvenberg Gegeven Aen de Rooms. Catholyke kerck tot yssels teyn," the suspension cover embossed with acanthus leaves (suspension chains lacking), height 25.5cm, weight 22.26oz.
