By Marie Bonnet, Paris circa 1870
Consisting of an elongated ovoid jardinière/centrepiece and two circular tazze, the centrepiece with arcaded gallery top with applied lion masks and flowerhead roundels with foliate border, the cast laurel drop handles with lion mask back plates, the gently reeded bowl supported on seated griffon legs raised on an outswept oblong base with central acorn knop, the apron cast with leaves and berries on four shell-capped paw feet, with brass liner, the tazze with conforming decoration, raised on three griffon legs on tripartite bases, height 21cm, length of centrepiece 49cm, diameter of tazze 20cm, weight total 213oz.
