With French owl control mark to flange
The square case with hinged lid decorated with a diamond, ruby, emerald and cultured pearl set crowned-mask motif with an extensive applied Arabic inscription, raised on reeded lug feet, the interior fitted with a reeded compact by a different maker, stamped 18CT, with similar jewel-set mask motif, a lipstick holder, a rouge pot and mascarra holder, length 14.5cm, width 13.5cm, weight all-in 783gms.

    The inscription details that the present lot was given by a famous Iranian Bank on the occasion of the marriage of the Princess and the Shah in 1329 (Iranian salar calendar) or 1951.
