Diamond-set minaudiere (S&P 35)
A mid-20th century 18-carat gold and diamond-set minaudiere

With all-over stylised basket weave decoration, the cover set with an elaborate ribbon and scroll motif formed of 258 graduated diamonds pavé set in white gold, two scrolls conceal the clasp, the cover opens to reveal a fitted interior with a hinged mirror to the underside of the cover which folds down to reveal a bill clasp and a sprung comb holder, the base has a central sprung holder for a matching lighter, a watch with Arabic dial flanked by a square lidded compartment on one side and a rectangular on the other, with a side released lipstick holder, length 18cm, width 8cm, weight all-in 860gms.
