The detachable drip-pans with gadrooned rims, demi-fluted sconces, the tapering cylindrical columns with gadrooned and waisted bands, each raised on a gadrooned stepped circular base, crested and engraved with a coat of arms, height 32cm. (2)

  • Engraved with the arms of Walter BUTLER, K.P., 18th Earl of Ormonde and 11th Earl of Ossory (born 1770, succ. 1795, died 1820) accolly with a similar shield charged in pretence with the quartered arms of PRICE-CLARKE for Anna Maria Catherine, daughter and heiress of Job Hart Price, whom he married in 1805.

    The Earl of Ormonde was invested a Knight of St Patrick in 1798 and advanced to a Marquessate in 1816. His arms indicate his hereditary title of Chief Butler of Ireland and quarter those of (3) the Earldom of Carrick and (4) Fitzgerald, Earl of Desmond.
