FIRST EDITION, FIRST ISSUE. In pink flowered cloth (Carter binding A) with no border around final plate. According to Bentley, Dickens did a good deal more than edit this memoir which had been turned over to him for improvement; exactly which parts he wrote is still a matter of debate, but the entire book is suffused with his style.
