"Guinevere Rescued by La Cote Male Taile." Bodycolor on artist's board, 210 x 145 mm, signed lower left ("Arthur Rackham"), matted.

Published in both Fairy Tales Old and New (1905), and in Haydon's Stories of King Arthur (1910). Rackham reworked an almost identical illustration he had created for his 1902 series "Stories of the Table Round," published in the magazine Little Folks (Lupack, Illustrating Camelot, 2008, p 155).
