WRIGHT, FRANK LLOYD. 1867-1959.
Small group of Taliesin holiday cards:
1. 1943-44 card, 165 x 510 mm, printed in brown on recto only with gilt decoration, heavily revised by Wright in pencil in preparation for the 1948-49 holiday card, with a note in pencil on verso paying tribute to the American Institute of Architects and SIGNED ("Frank Lloyd Wright"), folding creases and light dust-soiling. Together with an example of the revised holiday card reflecting the changes made by Wright.
2. 1944-45 card, as above, 2 copies, one INSCRIBED by Frank Lloyd Wright on verso, "To Blaine and Hulda for Eric and Skippy or vice versa (and let that be enough) so soon as they can take it in. F.L.L.W.", the other with an Autograph Note Signed ("O Ll W") on verso, in which Olga Lloyd Wright thanks the Drakes for a gift and informs them of plans to travel to Phoenix, ink smeared at far left of both inscriptions, envelope.
