8vo (225 x 160 mm). 9 engravings by 9 artists laid in loose and individually signed. Poem by Stephen Spender. Printed self-wrappers; original board chemise and board slipcase with titling-piece by Stanley Hayter pasted to front. Wrappers and chemise lightly toned, slipcase rubbed and faded with backstrip lacking. Engravings in fine condition.

LIMITED EDITION, no 58 of 101 copies plus 12 hors-commerce. Rare and important album compiled to protest the rise of fascism in Europe. The contributing artists are John Buckland-Wright, Stanley William Hayter, Josef Hecht, Dalla Husband, Wassily Kandinsky, Roderick Mean, Joan Miro, Dolf Rieser, and Luis Vargas. The engravings were printed by Atelier 18 and Henri Hecht and include one with aquatint and roulette, one with soft ground etching, one drypoint, and one etching. All are on full-sheet Montval handmade paper with deckle-edges preserved. Cramer Miro 81.
