2 hand-colored engraved celestial maps, 598 x 503 mm and 590 x 497 mm, the first being a figural celestial map of the northern hemisphere, with tables on either side listing the names of constellations and the magnitudes and coordinates of stars within, corners depicting putti hoisting astronomical instruments; the second depicting the passage of comets between 1530 and 1740 on a figural celestial map of the southern hemisphere, with graphs and charts at the corners describing the comets' movements, verso of both maps reinforced at center, some light soiling to corners of Boreale.
