JANSSON, JOHANNES. Mappa Æstivarum Insularum, alias Barmudas dictarum. Amsterdam: c.1650.
Hand-coloured copper-engraved map, 395 x 515 mm. German text on verso (signed 3S1). Centerfold reinforced on verso including a small repair slightly affecting the key.
Lovely map of Bermuda, showing individual land ownership based on the surveys of the settler, Richard Norwood. Bermuda is depicted twice, once as the central feature of the map, and a second time showing the island in relation to the coasts of Virginia, Hispaniola, and New England.
