Attractive album of original watercolors from a summer's holiday, including Nantasket, Massachusetts. The Nantasket peninsula (at the southern edge of island-filled Boston harbor) was a popular beach resort at the turn of the century. The railway line from Boston was completed in 1881. Images are all landscapes except for three botanicals and places specified are "Gun Rock," "Gun Rock House," "Togus," "Straits Pond," and "Waterville."
