Collection of on-the-spot sketch portraits of the leaders of the Bolshevik Revolution including Lenin, Trotsky, Lunacharsky and Spiridonova, drawn in December 1917 and January 1918. Stalin is conspicuously absent. Many of Artsybushev's subjects perished during the Great Purge of the 1930s. Artsybushev is best known for his contributions to the satirical journal Zritel.
