A blue and white porcelain dragon jar
Late Joseon dynasty, 19th century
Thickly potted and broadly painted in cobalt line and wash with cloud scrolls around the tall, cylindrical neck, a cloud collar band at the shoulder while a four-clawed dragon pursues a pearl amid clouds around its body of inverted pear form finished at the base with a canted edge that forms the exterior wall of the foot ring surrounding a shallow recessed base, the glaze applied to all surfaces except the foot pad.
