A small Junyao lotus bud jar
Jin dynasty, 12th/13th century
Of truncated pear form raised on a canted foot and covered with a cloudy sky blue glaze that thins along the rim, revealing the pale brown hue of the underlying fabric, the glaze continuing within the recessed base and the exposed fabric along the foot burnt a pale brown.
