Tang dynasty
An elaborate asymmetrical coiffure framing her full face and tiny ears, her substantial figure encased in a billowing dress as she stands in relaxed contrapposto, her hands held in front of her with fingers pointed to either side, all supported by a flat clay plinth; the exterior covered in traces of gesso and earthen adhesions with details of the face picked out in polychrome pigments.
