Qianlong mark and period
The two fitted halves closing to form a compressed flower of twelve petals radiating from a single convex medallion, the medallion painted as a rose colored peony blossom and the twelve lobes filled with differently colored peony flowers issuing from leafy sprays on a lavender ground, the base centered with the four-character mark in pale blue on a white enamel ground.
